Jasmine had never been worried about how her body was put together, but she was very self-conscious of her scars. However, for some reason, she wasn’t that way with Cooper and Tanner. Neither man had blanched or frowned when she’d finally been naked in front of them for the first time. They hadn’t even seemed to notice the white faded lines the knife had made as it cut into her flesh so long ago. Maybe that was because they both had scars of their own. Cooper had a line around the middle of his throat right over his Adam’s apple, but that wasn’t the only war wound she’d seen on his gorgeous body. She’d seen the round puckered flesh on his shoulder where a bullet had entered his body.

Tanner had a scar just above his hip on the right, and there were a couple of marks on his left arm. One looked as if he’d been cut with a knife, and he had a round scar where a bullet had entered his arm.

“Why are you frowning, honey?” Tanner asked as he rolled to his back, hooked an arm over her waist, and tugged her close against him.

“I was just admiring your war wounds.”

“You like our scars?” he asked in disbelief.

“Not exactly.”

Tanner shifted until he was bracing his head in his hand. “What’s that supposed to mean?”

“I hate that you and Cooper were hurt while defending our country and innocent people.”

“You’ve been hurt, too.” Tanner traced his finger over the faint white line that started at her shoulder and ended in the bend of her elbow. “We need to know what happened to you, Jasmine.”

“It doesn’t matter. All that matters is that I survived.”

“I agree with that because if you hadn’t you wouldn’t be here with us now, but we still want to know who hurt you.”

“Later,” Jasmine answered as she caressed over his pecs, down his ribs, and then his ripped abs toward his hard cock.

“You’re playing with fire, little girl.” Tanner clasped her wrist in his hand preventing her from getting to her prize.

She lifted her gaze to his and let him see how much she wanted him. She licked suddenly dry lips when his green orbs blazed at her with hunger. “Maybe I like playing with fire.”

Tanner released her wrist and then rolled over onto his back. He splayed his arms and legs wide before meeting her gaze again. “Have at it, honey.”

Jasmine scrambled up onto her hands and knees and then lifted her leg over Tanner until she was straddling his hips. She placed her hands on his pectorals and then caressed over his chest, delighting in the sensation of the light hair on his body tickling her palms. She sat back on his thighs and watched the movement of her hands as they moved over his body. She loved the contrasting sensations of soft hair, warm skin, and hard-ridged muscles.
